Well, thanks. And damn you all to Hell! :) Okay, I think that the annual election for the role is definitely worth doing - but with this current show so close, I figure we should start counting that year from NEXT show, especially since I'll be performing this time around. So, I will step down officially after the August show next year, unless plans change radically (I may or may not be happy to be re-elected at that time). The way I see it, the Director role works pretty much like this: * I don't play a role unless we can't fill it any other way * That doesn't necessarily apply to MC'ing - I figure I'm entitled to some public time :) * I expect most people to work out casting/scheduling conflicts between themselves - if you can't come to an agreement, you bring it to me THEN. * During shows, I help out with props, lighting and call-backs. Does anyone have any other ideas for this? Anything I should or shouldn't be doing as part of the role? One thing I would like to do is see an overhaul of the website. I want to put more content about the current cast on there - maybe we could each do a brief bio page? - and more of the older content pushed back into archives. And more resources for general Rocky Horror fans, to attract more hits. Again, anyone have any other ideas? After some recent misunderstandings at home, my father has decided to disown me. He is refusing to take me anywhere at all... which either means walk or PT. This is kinda hard when I dont have a job to get money for PT and where I might have to walk will be kilometers away. So what I am asking is if we can please possibly arrange a car pool for saturday night, because unless I can get SOME mode of transportation, I wont be able to partake in our midnight love offering to the god of rockyness! AND that would be sacreligious would it not my friends?

Hope u can help... thanks guys

P.S. I live in the eastern suburbs of melb....

Well, typing, actually, but you know what I mean. Anyway, first things first: People, we were great last night. Jess, I think it was you who organised the MX thing, yes? You did real good - that was a great crowd we got last night - enthusiastic and numerous :) Some of you have expressed a certain nervousness about this whole Overseer thing. I'd like to allay that, if I may. My basic philosophy has always been as follows: Our roles do not belong to us; they belong to the Show. The Show does not belong to us; it belongs to the audience. It's really that simple. I have a few things I want to get done over the next little while, so I'm putting them out here so that we can all discuss them. 1) Finding us a good central venue for rehearsals. To get one approximately the size of the stage, we may actually have to hire one - the one I'm thinking of is $77 dollars to hire (inc. AV equipment) - but if we share costs around, we should able to do that for maybe $5 each or so (that's assuming 15 people to split it amongst). Are people willing to pay that, once for each show? If we did it, I'd want it to be EVERYONE. Lights and props as well as actors. 2) Shifting this list. At the moment, we're hosted by some friends of Renee's. There are two lists - this one and another one which is basically for promotional purposes. What I'd like to do is move these lists over to Yahoo, where we'd have access to calendar and poll functions much more easily. And I'd like to split this list in two - one list basically just Admin stuff (dates and important polls), for people with crap access and another where we can complain about movies and share pornography* 3) Shifting the website. Again, this is currently hosted by Vurt, Renee's collective, and frankly, they're kinda not bothering very much these days. I'd like to shift it to another location, where we can all get at it a little more easily. And I want to get it up to date - the photos we took on Saturday are a part of that. Drew, as good a job as you've done, I think it might be better to establish a small committee to be in charge of the site from now one. Volunteers for this committee are sought. 4) We got three new people signing up last night, wanting to be in the show, and happy to be Trannies for the time being. I'll be getting in touch with them to inform them of the next meeting/rehearsal thing. 5) I want to go over the script from the ground up, and do a version which more resembles a play script - entrances, exits, props, lighting, sound cues - the works. It's a mammoth task, so anyone who wants to help out is welcome to - I'll combine all sources into one script. The only thing I don't plan to include are the call-backs (unless done by actual onstage cast). That's enough to be going on with I think. Once again, great show last night everyone. You all have my respect and admiration. Fantastic. That will save some time. Also, now that we have spare trannies, I want to reorganise lighting so that we have 2 torches + 1 person manning the switch on the wide lights. That way you can concentrate on spotlighting, without needing to be in two places at once. Volunteers?
