For the night we have to provide our own showbags, but I figured that this would not cost us the earth if we all pitch in. I am happy to bake a cake in the shape of giant lips. Mike said that they would do advertising of an anniversary special for us in the usual places as well as Beat magazine. Hi all,

Just to let you know I can't make it for the rehearsal on the 6th......I'm actually working at the World Masters Games and that is there opening.

I'd really love to do the radio spot....I just need to know exactly when it's going to be so I can arrange the kid sitting situation, please get back to me as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance...........

Hugs and licks.....

Louise.

To be honest, I think Lou would be the best of all of us. She's
been in the show the longest, her knowledge of RHPS stuff is frighteningly
thorough, and she's got experience both with radio and with these guys in
particular.

I mean come on thats only fair! Its his EIGHTENTH! I myself will not be affected by this (due to not celebrating birthdays therefore not going) but this is a big event for Brian and his boss is organising it for him as well. I am not sure what you would like to do about this matter. Brian is probably one of the most professional actor in the cast as it is anyway but it IS important to have him but as I mentioned earlier it wouldnt be fair to blame him or be shitty with him for not being there. He and I (among a few others) are ALWAYS STRESSING THE NEED FOR MORE REHEARSALS and if it werent for this particular event he would most definatly be there, what we have everyother time isnt even a rehearsal its just people talking saying what has to be done and not doing it. We are rapt with how well its going now and the dedication of some cast members is fantastic but this seriously the ONE time that in my opinion is close to impossible for Brian to attend. Why not put it to a vote or at least nominate who we feel would be best suited. Again I'm am seeing signs of total disorganisation, lots of talk and noooooo action. If we are to put a "professional" look to what we are doing, then at least show sings of getting it done. I understand that we all have a life outside of Rocky, but if we want poeple to come back and at least keep us there at the Westgarth, then we had better pull the finger out. Please at least look at our presentation, and let the call backs come nautrally, just sitting in a rrom for three to four hours can just be a waste of time, when we could be working on timing with actual movements on stage, after all the audience sees what up on the screen first, then us next, unless we have them in the palm of our hands and being in sinc with the movie. The dance routines are and have been for a very long time shoddy and appauling, they really need work to make them look right and high up on the list is the floor show. I know that I'm bitching about this, but with my experience on stage for over thirty years, I really do have to say something, because by now I think that I have a pretty good idea of what looks good and really shit house! I have been going to Rocky Horror for a very long time now, please just listen to my feelings and my experince, as I've seen the lot and the good dynamics and bad over a long period of time and I'm truly not wanting to act like a big shot here. If you are really dedicated, then I suggest that you pull yers fingers out and even do your own private rehearsals at home with the video, coz it makes a huge difference if you can do it with out looking at the screen and far more "professional". Hi All,

I turned up to a rehearsal and the only one who wanted to practice was me... I remember a debate about food, and then a general bitch session about how things were done but no rehearsing... just a small personal peeve... > OKay, I know this is bitchy, but we need two (2) people for every roll, this would eliminate the need for everyone to turn up to all perfromances, and cover situations beyond individual control. As an aside: I recieved feedback from a friend who was brutally honest about the flattness of peoples performances. She described it as people walking in a daze, half knowing their rolls. Her harshest criticisms fell on the people who have been playing Frank, th lynchpin of the performance. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the view, but she may be considered a good cross section of what the audience is feeling. Her highest praises went to Adrian whom she views as the best on the stage. She felt more rehearsals were needed across the board, so that we knew the rolls and were comfortable with them. This person thinks of herself as the number one Real horror show fan, she adores what we are trying to do, but feels we are falling down in the performances in major rolls. we are an ensemble cast, and yes we all have egos, we'd need to, to get on stage as we do. but we are bigger then an indvidual, no one is more "professional" then anyone else, we are all equal. and we all need more work, from those of us new to the cast through to those that have been doing it for 5 years.... and I most definitely include myself in this statement. Okay, rant over.... Thankyou for you patience in this. Brava to Jesse for organising a rehearsal. And thank you. Cath. Role playing acting is very different to normal acting and that is coming from someone who has been performing all her life. NO ONE IN THE CAST IS PROFESSIONAL AND WE DO THIS FOR FUN. We can not change the rehersal dates because we are fitting in to their scedual. Brian you are a great asset to the cast, but you are only new and still learning. I want to say that the lameness of the performances comes from the fact that people do not know where they are meant to be on stage and so people are constantly pulling others into the correct spot. Having a rehersal on the stage should help to elimnate this, but if you are in the wrong spot on the night don't move and just keep acting your part. It look far less professional to correct your self then it does to continue in charater. WHEN YOU ARE ON STAGE YOU ARE YOUR CHARATER AND YOU MUST OVER ACT, BECAUSE SMALL GESTURES ARE NOT SEEN BY THE AUDIENCE. tHIS ALSO MEAN NO CONVERSATIONS ON STAGE. WHEN YOU ARE IN A PLAY YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT LIFE AND THE UNIVERSE AND THAT APPLIES TO THIS AS WELL. Thanks for your time and effort we all put in. I was going to call Hedley during his show last saturday night to tee it up. Imagine my surprise that he's taken a surprise 2 weeks off and had another show filling in. I've left a message through RRR's email, and awaiting a callback. That's all I know at this point. Fingers crossed. This show has already been advertised by the Westgarth as an Anniversary show and we need to put the effort in to make it a great show. I don't want to be the only one who feels passionate about making something of it and would like to know that people want to help by organising things. Maybe we could have meeting during the week one night to organise things. Please let me know Hugs Jess P.S. I am not trying to take control or seem like I am the boss.
